Critical Artificial Intelligence Literacy for Masters and Doctoral Writers
Generative AI, with simple and user-friendly accessibility, can create high-quality texts, images, and graphics in a matter of seconds. Rapidly advancing Large Language Models (LLMs) as well as multiple fine-tuned top-ups and add-ons have created an architecture of AI that can be confusing and overwhelming. On the surface, Generative text AI seems like the perfect answer for a graduate writer. But is it? What do masters and doctoral writers need to know about AI text generators to produce writing ethically? In this workshop, we’ll discuss what these text generators are and how they work. We’ll examine how we can apply critical literacy skills in this fast-moving environment, so you can make informed decisions.
