Counselling Services for MUN Graduate Students
Registered graduate students at Memorial University living in Canada can access short-term individual counselling offered through the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre (SWCC) and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS).
What to expect in counselling? Counsellors work collaboratively with students to help them find solutions for their presenting issues. A 50-minute single session is typical in short term counselling, and follow up sessions may be considered. If needed, options in receiving ongoing psychological support can also be explored.
Topics may include: transition to grad studies, time management and motivation, coping with stress and anxiety, self esteem and confidence, relationships, communication etc.
To book an appointment: Complete the counselling request form HERE. If you encounter any issues, please contact the SGS Wellness Navigator.
In addition, all MUN students in Canada or abroad can access 24/7 counselling in 60 languages through the GuardMe Student Support Program (GMSSP).
