Join us for Business Day, a long-standing tradition proudly hosted by the graduating bachelor of commerce (co-operative) Class of 2026 at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Now in its 61st year, Business Day brings together students, faculty, and leaders from across Newfoundland and Labrador’s business community. Taking place on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, the event will welcome over 200 students and professionals for a morning of insight, connection, and meaningful dialogue.
This year’s theme, The Power of Connection: How Leaders Build Trust, Inspire Action, and Shape the Future, explores how relationships, credibility and shared experience drive effective leadership. The program will feature three keynote speakers: Heather Tulk (B.Comm.(Hons.)(Co-op.)'92), Wade Dawe (B.Comm.(Co-op.)'92), and Peg Hunter (B.Comm.(Hons.)(Co-op.)'82) — all alumni of Memorial University’s bachelor of commerce program whose careers reflect the strength and reach of Memorial's commerce community. Their return to Business Day highlights the lasting impact of connections formed at Memorial and the vital role alumni continue to play in shaping organizations and communities.
In addition to keynote addresses and a live Q&A, the event will include an enhanced structured networking experience designed to foster meaningful engagement. This facilitated, rotational format allows students and professionals to connect through focused, small-group conversations, creating deeper and more intentional interactions than traditional open networking.
