· Since 2013, over 600 Memorial University Engineering students have achieved an industry- recognized CAD micro-credential.
· Students report CAD credentials increase personal marketability, instill CAD skills confidence, and demonstrate proof of CAD competency in job interviews

· CAD Micro-credentials provide advanced CAD learning beyond the ENGI 1030 laboratory.
CAD Credential fees:
· AutoCAD - $149 (+HST) Includes instructional resources listed below, and one
test & one re-take test
· SOLIDWORKS - $149 (+HST) Includes instructional resources listed below, and
one test & one re-take test
Registration dates: Wednesday, March 18 - Wednesday April 1
Space is limited: first come first served
CAD Credentials start after winter semester exams
3 evenings per week Tues/Wed/Thurs Dates: April 21 to May 7
Times:
AutoCAD Certification: 5:30pm-7:30pm
SolidWorks Certification: 7:30pm-9:30 pm
Lab Room: EN 3076
Certification Exam dates: May 8, 2025 (Retake May 15)
Pre-requisite: COMPLETED ENGI 1030 (or currently enrolled)
*PREPARATION FOR SOLIDWORKS CERTIFICATION: all students should INDEPENDENTLY complete the Onshape to SolidWorks Bridging (ENGI1030 students are automatically enrolled in Lab 10) see link to material: https://online.mun.ca/d2l/home/471756

prepare students for certification

* Students writing the exam will be required to submit weekly exercises, quizzes and checklists of completed work to ensure exam readiness.

SolidWorks Certified Associate Certificate (CSWA)
A SOLIDWORKS certification is a CAD credential which attests to advanced CAD learning & CAD competencies. This credential is accredited by Dassault Systèmes creator of SOLIDWORKS software and “…establishes an industry standard by which SOLIDWORKS (Associates) are evaluated through a fair, comprehensive test of your knowledge of SOLIDWORKS both in the areas of Mechanical Design and Design Validation.” Becoming certified establishes you as a highly competent SOLIDWORKS user.


EXAM OBJECTIVES
AutoCAD Certified User Certificate (ACU)
The Autodesk AutoCAD Certified User credential demonstrates competency with entry level AutoCAD. This credential is accredited by AutoDESK creator of AutoCAD software. The exam covers introductory AutoCAD commands and drawing techniques. Earning this certification will attest to an individual’s hands-on AutoCAD experience and proven competencies. This is an industry-recognized Autodesk accredited credential.


EXAM OBJECTIVES
Once you register you will receive:

2. A welcome email one week prior to session 1 from the organizer with all details required. Please check your MUN email address and hold all questions until you receive this message.
General information:
· Students must choose one certification only and can register for another
certification in another term
· CAD-credential offerings require a minimum student enrollment therefore if the
session will not go ahead students will receive a full refund from
conferencesevents@mun.ca
Cancellation Policy:
· Cancellation 14 days prior to Session 1: full refund
· Cancellation within 10 days of Session 1: 50% cancellation charge
· Cancellation after Session 1: no refund
