    The School of Social Work is celebrating Social Work with our 100th anniversary event “Social Work Education at Memorial University: Celebrating the Past and Present, Reflecting on Future Directions.”

    This event will take place on Wednesday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Whale Atrium of Memorial University's Core Science Facility.The full-day of programming will include panel discussions, a presentation on the history of social work in our province, research poster presentations, reflections from our donors and a reception and Alumni Social. 

    Feel free to come for an hour or for the full day! If you can't attend in person, there is an option to attend online.

    Schedule of events:

    9 a.m. - Opening remarks

    9:10 to 10:40 a.m. - Social work education panel discussion

    10:40 to 11 a.m. - Break

    11 a.m. to 12 p.m. - History of social work presentation       

    12 to 1 p.m. - Lunch

    1 to 2:30 p.m. - Alumni panel discussion

    2:30 to 2:50 p.m. - Break

    2:30 to 3:50 p.m. - Research poster presentations

    3:50 to 4:20 p.m. - Donor remarks

    4:20 to 4:30 p.m. - Closing remarks

    4:30 to 6:30 p.m. - Reception/alumni social. Snacks and a cash bar.
