This workshop is designed to help participants understand the key differences between a curriculum vitae (CV) and a resume, and to prepare the appropriate application documents for positions in academic and industry settings.
During the workshop, participants will learn best practices for structuring a CV and developing a clear, professional document that effectively highlights their skills, experience, projects, publications, and achievements. The workshop will also provide some strategies for tailoring resumes to specific employment opportunities.
In addition, the workshop will introduce the concept of a narrative CV, which is an alternative to the traditional CV that focuses on describing an individual's contributions, achievements, and impact through written narratives. Participants will learn about the key areas typically included in a narrative CV and how to describe them effectively in concise written statements.
Participants are welcome to bring their current CV for group discussion and feedback.
